Why can't we in NSW, as a Fire Service meet these Guarantees given in the early 1990's?
- Within towns and cities that form fire districts ..... give you help 90% of the time within 8 minutes ... In remote areas ..... we guarantee that help will be provided as fast as humanly possible in order to save life and property.
- The time frame now apparently is 10 minutes.... what do you think may be happening in the 9th minute and the 10th minute if your house was burning down?
- Remember that this is an average time.... how much extra time do you think it might take at the longer end of the scale to move the average out to 10 minutes?
- Averages don't mean much to you if you have lost your home, if you have lost your business or if you have lost a family member......
Where are we heading from here do we reduce our services until we need insurance companies to set up their own brigades again? People expect services from their elected officials....
why are our elected officials letting us down? This is 20 years ago folks!
